This Audi A1 came in with fault codes and the MIL light on. Issues traced to: EGR system Intake flaps DPF related faults All diagnosed and sorted quickly and properly. The job was completed in less than a day, and the customer was able to carry on as normal using one of our courtesy cars. Once everything was working as it should, we went a step further and added a custom Stage 1 calibration. This clean example of a 290 came in for turbo elbow to be fitted alongside stage 1 ECU and TCU to really bring the car alive! This only had a full racing line intake kit fitted with backbox delete and res delete. We set these up differently as opposed to how we tune the Golf R’s and S3’s with them being FWD, capped boost in 1st and 2nd to help with traction, 1-1 pedal demand to allow for maximum pedal control due to the way these are setup from factory, LC RPM lowered compared to factory to help with spinning when launching as well as lower boost request during LC. All of these combined really make FWD a lot more fun instead of just spinning everywhere. With the TCU being tuned as well, this allows for more clutch pressure, true manual mode to prevent the car from upshifting by itself whilst using the paddles, shift speeds adjusted to allow for seamless shifting and torque limiters raised to allow for more torque to be made whilst tuning it. Nice amount of volume between Stock and Stage 1 with peak power further in the rev range! We also enhanced DSG farts as well as crackles in Cupra mode. On the road this was spot on, pulling all the way to redline and gripping as much as possible in the lower gears 👌🏻 We do love tuning EA888s and always will as they rarely have any problems when it comes to tuning and always respond so well 🫶🏼 also i don’t know why the colours of the writing at the bottom are different to the top 🤷🏼‍♂️

Previously tuned stage 1 by us, the customer wanted more, fitting an intake kit, full turbo back system. As you can see from the graph, the difference between stage 1 and stage 2 was actually quite big even though the power isn’t a huge difference Strong torque gains between stage 1 -> 2 making it feel completely different and giving it more of punch 👌🏻 Customer also wanted some nice burbles which we applied which sounded nice and wasn’t obnoxious like some people want it 😂 He also wanted a more aggressive limiter that bounced as opposed to sounding flat to add some more of a fun factor to the pocket rocket 🚀

This Transit came in underperforming after having DPF and EGR software done elsewhere. Something clearly wasn’t right. We carried out proper diagnostics and datalogging, both on the road and through deeper analysis back in the workshop. The data quickly pointed towards the calibration being the issue. Once we got into the ECU, it confirmed it. Poorly written software, inconsistent changes and areas that simply didn’t make sense. Result Loss of power Poor drivability And a vehicle not performing how it should After working through it and correcting what we could within the calibration, the van was brought back to a much healthier state with performance restored. We may not have uncovered every underlying issue with the vehicle, but we certainly gave it back the power it had lost and a setup that actually works properly. This is exactly why testing and logging matter. Without it, this would have just been another “it feels a bit slow” van with no clear answer. This came in with good figures being the 245bhp model making just under on power and over on torque. We got straight to tuning it once knowing everything was running exactly how it should be. A nice strong power curve with torque holding for most of the rev range and tailing off top end whilst power holds peak for as long as possible! On the road this was night and day with another 87bhp and 174nm pulling all the way through the rev range and shifting seamlessly. A pleasure to drive this one, definitely going to be needing rear tyres a lot more frequently now 😅

These always make very good figures and tune better than the EA888.3 engines and give it some oomph that they lack out of the factory (even with them being 310bhp they feel sluggish and not as fast as you’d think they would feel) 310bhp -> 395bhp 400nm -> 500nm
