Remapped the Toyota Hilux before a summer of towing. It pulls the trailer with far less effort and sits more comfortably at motorway speeds. Could not fault them.

Remapped the Skoda Superb and it finally has the go to match the comfort. More pull with a full car, easier motorway miles, and a team who were straightforward from the start.
This is the fourth vehicle I have taken to the garage, after two Golfs and a van, so they already know how I like a car to drive. The new one had the usual limp feeling on the hill leaving town, full of shopping, and it pulls through that now without a downchange. Fuel economy on the motorway is better than either Golf was after its remap, which surprised me. Over Christmas it felt a bit flat on the first cold start of the day. I left a message and they rang back, had a slot after the break, and made a small cold-start change while I waited. No charge, and a call the morning after to ask about the first start. I will be taking the next one there before I have finished paying for it.
I have used this garage for a Transit, then a Custom, and now the pickup. Each one has gone back pulling up the hill by the yard with a load on, which is the job. This Ranger does it in a higher gear than the Custom managed. Fuel economy on the unladen motorway trips is the best of the three, even against the van after its remap. Last month it threw a light on a dark morning and I rang before I started guessing. They opened early, plugged it in, found a sensor that was on its way out, and fitted the time around the morning rounds. The file was fine. That aftersale support is the reason I have stopped asking other places for prices.
Another car to the same place. The A3 pulls up hills cleanly and the fuel economy has improved on the dual carriageway. A call a few days later was the aftersale support I have come to expect from them.
The garage did my old 330d and I did not look at anyone else for this one. There is a long pull up the hill on the way to work, usually with a bit of traffic, and the car used to be changing down halfway. It holds the gear and pulls now. I have compared the fuel economy with a notebook I kept on the last car: this one, after the remap, is doing better on the same journey. I went back because I wanted a little more at the top end for the occasional overtake. They made the change, gave me the old setting if I wanted to return to it, and called a week later. Three cars over the years, if you count my wife's, and the aftersale support has been the same every time.
They mapped a Ceed for me, then this Sportage, and before that a van I have since sold. I know the drive home, and I know the hill just before the roundabout. Standard, it always changed down. Mapped, it pulls up and is still gathering speed at the top. I reset the fuel economy and left it for a fortnight of the usual miles. It is up, not by a wild amount, but enough that the extra performance has not cost me at the pump. I asked them to soften the take-up because my partner found it keen. They did it the next day and rang her, not just me, to ask how it felt on her drive to work. That is the aftersale support that makes a second and third car an easy decision.
Second car at this garage. The Octavia vRS pulls hard up hills and the fuel economy on a steady run has not suffered. They rang after the weekend to check the first proper drive.
Back again with a different car. The Kamiq pulls up the hill out of the close and the fuel economy on the school run is a touch better. They texted to say I could pop back if I wanted it finer.
Not the first car I have taken there. The Evoque pulls up the hill near home far more easily, and the fuel economy is slightly better. Their follow-up call covered the only thing I was unsure about.
Two vans and now the pickup, all through this garage. The Amarok pulls the trailer up the hill that the last van only managed after its own remap, so I knew what I was going back for. Day-to-day fuel economy, trailer off, is better than I was led to expect from a tune. I had a question about how hard to work it on the first thousand miles and they answered it properly, then rang once that distance was done to ask what the towing had been like. I mentioned a slight shunt when rolling away and they had me in before the week was out. A small change, no charge, and it has been smooth since. I will keep taking whatever I am running to the same place.
Third car through the same garage. The 118d pulls up hills more willingly and the fuel economy has improved on the commute. They followed up without me having to ask.
I took an Insignia there in 2020 and a Zafira the year after, and this Grandland went in for the same reason. The hill up to the ring road is where I feel a remap, or the lack of one. It pulls, it stays in gear, and it does not make a fuss with the boot full. Fuel economy over a tank of mixed driving is a little better than the car managed standard, and clearly better than the old Insignia was before they mapped that one. A service light worried me the month after and I rang them first. They knew it was not the file, talked me through the reset, and still said to bring it in if I would rather they did it. Aftersale support on a car they already understand is worth as much as the power.
Back with another car. The CR-V pulls up the hill outside town and the fuel economy on a run is better. They checked in and said the door was open if I wanted a tweak.
Not the first car I have taken in. The XF pulls up the hill in a higher gear and the fuel economy is better on a cruise. A phone call the week after was welcome.
The first car I took to this garage was an old A4, then my wife's Q3, and now the A6 I do the mileage in. I know how they work, which is why it was never going anywhere else. There is a long hill on the way out of town that used to force a downchange with two people aboard. The car pulls up it and barely notices. I have kept the fuel economy figures since the week after the remap: town driving is level, and the trunk road is better by enough to show on the brim. I asked them, a month on, to have another listen to a whistle I thought was new. They put it on a ramp, found a loose undertray, clipped it up and refused to charge. The aftersale support is as much a reason to go back as the remap.
They did a Golf for me, then a Tiguan, and this Tayron-sized family car, a Kodiaq, went to the same ramp. I have stopped comparing garages. The hill by the school is short but steep, and it used to feel flat with the children and the bags in. It pulls up it cleanly now. We watched the fuel economy for a full month of the usual miles and it is slightly up, which mattered more to us than the headline power. My wife thought it was a bit eager in the wet, so we went back. They softened the low-speed delivery, showed her the difference on a loop of the estate, and rang the following Friday to ask how the school runs had been. That is the aftersale support that keeps us taking the next car there.
Another car, same garage. The 3008 pulls up hills without the old hesitation, and the fuel economy has ticked the right way. They emailed to see if I wanted anything looked at again.
I had the previous Ranger done here and booked this one in on the way home from the dealer. The hill up to the farm with the trailer on is the bit that used to have it working far too hard. It pulls now, right to the top, and the gearbox is calmer. When I am running empty the fuel economy is the best this shape of truck has given me. After the first towing day I rang to ask if the figures I was seeing were normal. They talked it through, then invited me back so they could see a pull for themselves. Nothing needed changing, but they still made the time. That aftersale support is why I did not even price the job anywhere else.
I have taken two cars there and both have been right. This one pulls up the hill and the fuel economy has not gone backwards. A follow-up call settled the only question I had.
