What an incredible weekend at the Nürburgring!
Massive congratulations to Jack for delivering an extraordinary lap when it mattered most, taking victory in the European Time Attack Extreme class in his Nissan R35 GT-R. We also secured 2nd place in the Supercar class with our Porsche GT4 RS! 🏆
The European finals brought together some of the fastest Time Attack cars from across Europe, including an impressive collection of Time Attack Mitsubishi Evos, Porsches, BMWs and some seriously quick machinery. It was fantastic to see so many UK drivers competing and doing so well, with a brilliant atmosphere throughout the paddock.
We took 4 cars to Germany, 2x Nissan GT-Rs in Extreme Class and 2x Porsche GT4 RSs in Supercar Class, which certainly kept our team busy!
Unfortunately during the start of qualifying, our own GT-R suffered a driveshaft failure early on, leaving Jack to fly the flag in Extreme.
After struggling with fuel starvation and traffic during qualifying, Jack only just made the final in 5th place. With everything resting on a single flying lap, he delivered something very special.
🔥 𝟭:𝟰𝟰.𝟮𝟵𝟳, 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝘆 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝟮.𝟴 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀!
To put that into perspective, Jack was around 9 seconds faster than the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup car competing in the same class.
Meanwhile, our relatively mildly modified GT4 RS claimed 2nd in Supercar, behind Matthew Straker’s impressive BMW M4, which also runs Litchfield Kinematics and suspension components🙂
Jack’s GT-R has covered an extraordinary number of circuit miles over the years and continues to deliver. A real testament to the work our team has put into developing, building and maintaining it.
A massive thank you to everyone back at Litchfield who helped prepare the cars and our fantastic crew at the circuit. We couldn’t have done it without you.
