Great place for Motorcycle MOT's
Terrible, I’ve gone in for a mot. As a new rider they tried to con me over £250. Saying my bearings on my headset have gone.leading to my not failure But took it to a new mot service and they had a look over it and said they was nothing wrong. Shameful behaviour would not recommend them if you’re new to riding and looking to have your bike done. As they probably have done it to other people
I wouldn’t recommend these at all. I found this place online after shopping round trying to find a reliable garage to undertake some exhaust work on my vehicle. Initially everything was fine, I spoke to Brian on the phone who booked me in for a free quote on the work I’d like done. On the day, I was greeted to a young lad named Harry who was very friendly and professional, we had a chat and come up with a plan. I had opted for a new centre section and exhaust tips. This was booked for a further 3 weeks away and I had to pay a £150 deposit for the booking. Completely understandable and I proceeded to pay. Fast forward the 3 weeks in and it was a day before my appointment, I took it upon myself to give them a call just to make sure the booking was still good to go, and I was told on the phone “I’ve been meaning to call you, the new exhaust has come in damaged and isn’t usable”. I get that these things happen, so I was understanding about the situation, and was promised a call back within 45 minutes. Never received one. This is when things took a turn for the worse. I was constantly chasing them with calls to find out what was going on, and this is when I started to get concerned and lose trust. I politely requested to cancel altogether, and asked for my £150 refunded. This took 13 phone calls to them, to get sorted. Numerous times again I was promised a call back and never received one. And just to add insult to injury, Brian refused to refund the full £150, and decided to deduct £60 for so called “restocking fee’s”, despite looking on Scorpion Exhaust’s website under their returns policy, it does not state anything regarding restocking fees. All in all, they’ve taken £60 from me for no work at all, nor any compensation for the inconvenience that I’ve been caused. Strongly recommend you look somewhere else, especially if you value your car.
i booked for a dual resonator delete and news exhaust tips with Harry and he was helpful at first and keen to get the job done, i was told this would be £800 in person, then as i booked it all to be done the price was raised to £1200 but told £1000 if i use cash, £100 deposit was paid. i drove an hour from work to drop my car with them to be given an RGS ‘courtesy car’, for the next day when my work was as scheduled, when i arrived i was told the parts had not arrived and they could only do the res delete and told me i could come back another time of leave my car and come back again, i decided to go ahead with the work and re book for the tips, res delete was complete and good work completed, the day before my next appointment i have as called by Brian who was helpful and explained the job will have to be pushed to the afternoon and he will call in the morning to confirm time, the morning came and i heard nothing so i called and brian had said they don’t have time for me and would like to re book, again. Brian returned my deposit and was very apologetic, it’s a shame he’s trying to run a business and workmen like harry are causing these issues.
First class service! Interestingly enough, I was actually referred to RSG motorsport by InNOut for specialist exhaust repairs. It says a lot when a big brand point you in the direction of another business and their reputation certainly lives up to the recommendation. Brian and Crew are knowledgeable, have great customer service, even better prices and you just know you and your car are gonna be looked after from the get go. I’m going back to have some custom work done on my car and to be honest when it comes to exhausts/performance and now probably my MOT, I don’t think I’m gonna pick anybody else. Thank you lads!
The lads were incredibly friendly and talkative, certainly knew what they were talking about. I took my BMW to have the original exhaust system put back on the car (I supplied manifolds and midpipe along with all sensors) and explained numerous times that it would need to pass an MOT which they confirmed it would, hence putting original system on. Following the work I have since managed to get it on a ramp at my local mechanic and the work wasn’t done to the best of standards and won’t pass an MOT, an O2 sensor on the midpipe has been snipped which is an obvious fail, and some sensors weren’t properly clipped back in to their brackets following installation, resting against the exhaust and thankfully caught by my mechanic prior to melting or causing damage. Overall not the worst job, but not particularly impressive either. Just to reiterate, the lads in the workshop were nice, I just feel a bit more vigilance was required.
Polite, experienced staff that do good work and know what they are doing.
