The TT comes alive earlier in the rev range and stops needing a downchange for every rise in the road. More driveable, not just faster for a moment.
S-Max, five up, hill out of the village. It used to pause and change down. It pulls now. Joining the motorway takes less room and the cruise is lazier, in a good way.
Been with Jordan @ Caine performance for his file service now for a while and honestly going from over 5 different file providers he is definitely the one I’m going with till the end of my journey. His waiting times are bang on. Done too many files to count and not one Iv had any issues with. He’s also on the other end of the phone to guide you with any enquiry’s you have not even on the tuning aspect, on coding,Tips and tricks & much more.there have been multiple times I have rang him up for advice and just ended up having a General convo for half hour . He isn’t one of them masters who just takes your money & provides files. He makes sure your caterd for & 100% satisfied I also had a recent problem with a newly released SID212 protocol. Benched the ecu and my Amazing 1 year old decided to press a shiny button on my desk top that turned off my pc at the very end of a write ending up with a BRICKED ECU. Bear in mind he is a 5 hour journey away from us. His brother Jamie decided to organise a day to come down and help me out. He also picked up a ecu that I purchased out of his day, Jamie then took the 5 hour trip down on the Monday then arriving to me on the Tuesday then programmed the new ecu within 20 minutes of arriving then traveled 5 hours back home. Massively appreciate these lads a lot . & like I mentioned he’s the top DON. If your thinking of Tune and cain performance is in your area or need a new file provider then look no further as I cannot recommend him enough. Tiguan, loaded, hill by the estate. It stays in gear and gets on with it. Pickup from a roundabout is cleaner and the cruise is less strained.
I use the A6 for a long commute and a Friday run over the tops. Before the remap it was forever changing down on the climb, and passing a lorry needed a plan. It holds a higher gear up that hill now and the mid-range arrives earlier, so the car feels lighter even though nothing else has changed. Throttle response in town is cleaner rather than sharp, and on a steady motorway run the fuel use has come down a little, which I was not counting on. The gearbox seems less busy. I have had it a month and the drivability is the part I notice every single day, more than the headline power.
Went in on the 12th January and got my a3 in, originally was 150bhp and he got it to 170 hoping to get it to 190, but he kept on trying and got it there. Car’s much quicker and feels better, couldn’t fault anything

I was not after a handful of tenths in the Polo GTI. I wanted it to pull up the hill behind the supermarket without sounding desperate, and to be less fuzzy off the throttle in traffic. Both of those have happened. It is keener in the mid-range, happier to stay in a tall gear, and still perfectly normal when you are just going home. A small car that got easier, not louder.

What I noticed first in the E220 was not a bang of power. It was the car needing less from me. The hill past the hospital is a routine downchange in the standard map. It is not now. Overtakes from 50 take less road, the gearbox stays in a taller gear on the bypass, and cold-morning pull-away is smoother than it was. A month of the same journeys and the brim-to-brim figure is slightly up. I am happier in it. That is the point.

The 330d had pace already. What it lacked was manners on a hill at normal speeds. In-gear pull is there from lower revs, so I am changing down less, and the thing just flows. Economy on a run has not suffered.
