Avoid this business. Absolutely shocking customer service. I called to politely correct a mistake on my booking date and to double-check that Martin could actually tune a Sportline van (as one of their own franchises told me they couldn’t). I wanted to confirm this before committing to a five hour round trip up north. Instead of a professional response, I was met with disgusting verbal abuse from the owner, Martin. He aggressively told me he "doesn't do it for the money" and openly claimed he instructs his franchises to treat customers with zero respect. He is a verbally abusive bully on the phone who clearly cannot handle running a professional business. I'd be very interested to know if he'd talk to you like this face to face! Martin, if you read this: I welcome you to put our recorded phone call (as threatened by you) on social media, so everyone can hear exactly how you treat paying customers, with remarks like "stand back and listen to yourself, "you need to call me back and apologies", "take a look at yourself in the mirror ", "you customers want everything straight away" (even though I'd booked for three weeks in advance). Save your hard earned money everyone and go to a professional who actually values your custom.

We had our VW Transporter T6.1 remapped at Pendle performance what an amazing job it's a different van !!!

Got my Vw done this week. Fantastic from start to finish. My unit had to be sent away to auto tune to be unlocked and it was a 4 day turnaround. The drive back was a dream and now my VW drives as well as my 2019 Audi A3 Seen some negative reviews on here but mine was 100% positive. If we buy another VW in the future Martin will be the first port of call. 5 stars full stop

Got my van done by Martin and what a difference it made so much easier to drive with the extra torque as I have it full of tools and carrying a lot of weight all the time.couldn't recemend him enough top bloke.

Called just for some information but was cut off straight away very rude! Even before I finished what I wanted to say,I get the Bosch ecu can't be done yet ,I was only going on recommendation from a friend who has had vehicles done in the past.

"The quincy jones of mapping " Anyone out there who wants a remap done look no further. Spent a lot of time and effort making my van the best it could be for torque and power , only to be let done by other people when it came to getting the mapping done to suit my modifications. Took a long drive from ringwood to pendle hq and its best thing i could have done . I drove back in literally the van i had always wanted , smooth proper power delivery with bags or torque but not so fierce that it shakes the transmission to bits ! Literally could not have wished for it to be more perfect ,also my mpg has gone up dramatically so for my 2 plus ton vw lt with 227hp i can average 35mpg now and over 40 on a run ! Martin is simply a master of his trade , a true professional who is passionate about his work and getting the absolute best in terms of performance and reliability.

Unfortunately I am having to leave a negative review. I booked a remap with Martin and booking was confirmed and deposit was left. I drove over the night before and camped out in the campervan I wanted remapping. I tried calling, I waited outside for hours but Martin did not show. It turned out Pendle were still taking bookings online but Martin was on a little holiday in prison. I contacted the agent and was sent to another Pendle Agent who remapped my van but unfortunately he did not have a rolling road so I had a generic remap installed from him, not something I wanted but had no other choice. Thw remap has since caused issed with the van, limp mode etc. I have tried to contact Martin and Pendle on facebook but no response. I am really dissapointed, please tread carefully.

What a nightmare the whole experience was. Poor customer service. Poor mapping and just a total waste of time. One of the worst companies I’ve dealt with in my life. He doesn’t answer the phone, I had issues as soon as I got home and gave up after two weeks of trying to contact him to ask for a refund. I decided it was much safer to get another proper company to re do my mapping.

I had scoured online for a reputable tuner to fix an issue with my 2005 T5 that nobody else would touch. Everybody said Martin at Pendle Performance was the only tuner that could do it, I booked online, followed up with a quick call and he explained quickly - big job, but he could do it. Dropped off at 09:15 and he assured me it was in safe hands, he ratcheted down to the dyno immediately and got to work. WHAT A TRANSFORMATION! Took my old Caravelle from flat as a pancake to a lovely smooth throttle and plenty of boost. Very helpful. He explained that it had a BNZ transplanted incorrectly but needed to move the map profiles over to the AXE Bosch ECU. Just a huge thank you, it’s taken me 6 weeks to try and sort elsewhere and he did it in 3hrs - ladies and gents, worth every penny. Thanks Martin!

An utterly bizarre interaction which has left me feeling extremely disappointed. Phoned around 50 times over the space of a week in order to confirm my appt on a bank holiday (the booking system lets you book literally any day of the year) and finally made contact after responding via SMS to a booking confirmation text I received. I was called an "utter idiot" by the owner for suggesting he was acting unprofessionally by not responding to calls/ Emails/ Facebook messages. Told me that there was a Facebook post explaining he wouldn't be available (I didn't follow them on Facebook but the post doesn't exist) then asked me to phone him and apologise. Seems to think his 'massive turnover' justifies this kind of behaviour (he mentioned turnover at least twice during our correspondence) and that he's doing you a favour allowing you to deal with him. God knows how this would have panned out if I had managed to get a map and something had gone wrong. The irony being that if he had emailed me as much initially as he did when he was trying to be condescending/ have the last word, I'd have been delighted with the level of communication. Ended our interaction by suggesting that if I took my van anywhere else it would fall to bits. Weirdly defensive about something that he was entirely in the wrong for. Claims to be 'old school' but I prefer the term 'bad customer service'. This review had been removed for low quality content but I can assure you I have the emails, screenshots and phone records to prove it.

Had my 2020 140bhp crafter mapped by Martin, great company and great guy, from booking to having it done was easy, 2.5 hours after dropping it off my van was done and what a difference a nicer drive and more usable power. Would 100 percent recommend.

Had my T4 2.5 AJT set up by Martin yesterday on his rolling road. My van was running really flat and I was having a nightmare starting it up. Martin has done an unbelievable job! Setting up the pump timing, checking everything is mechanically sound before mapping and all parameters meet requirements to map. The proper way to map a vehicle! My van now drives amazing, night and day difference. Smooth and linear and pulls strong without a black smoke trail left behind. Highly recommend, Pendle Performance.

Don't waste your time.

From a previous great experience many years ago to now an absolutely shocking one. Booking form online still live deposit quite happily taken, 3 hour drive this morning plus the loss of a day's earnings only defined nobody there. And no way of getting in touch with anyone. Having spoke to some people in neighbouring units. They suggested that nobody has been operating from this premises for months. Quite worrying, really, as everything on the website appears to still be live and payments still being taken.

After seeing lots of recommendations on various forums, I decided to give this place a go, totally transformed the performance of my van, amazing. Thanks.

Had our transporter to Pendle on Saturday 14.10.23 for a re map, What a transformation it has made. Martin was very professional and explained everything to us .All we wanted was a van that would give us a bit more torque. Once the remap was done we had a 2 hr drive home that I enjoyed every minute off. Well worth the money, would highly recommend! Never stopped smiling, it was like a total different vehicle. Just been to NEC Birmingham today and enjoyed the drive there and back more than the camper van show. Thanks again Martin.

Had van mapped by Pendle, it's amazing now, night and day difference, well done Pendle it now drives amazing and it's a pleasure be behind the wheel!!

Would recommend pendle to anyone has made my van more than just a van, ignore the negative reviews they nearly pilot me off but glad they didn't

The advice I received prior to getting my remap was not good from martin...i ended up spending money on injectors and other hardware I think i didn't really need to see the hp i made,as van only made 114bhp. When questioned why so low was told he never gave that advice and vans make what they make.pretty disappointed when you see them post of vans making alot more bhp on a regular basis.my van 2.5 tdi 88hp with egr delete,102 injectors,intercooler,stainless downpipe and exhaust

Had our T6 Transporter booked in with Pendle Performance on Thursday 30/05/24 for a remap. Martin was very professional and knowledgeable and explained everything clearly Remap completed in just over 2 hours and has made a considerable improvement to BHP and torque resulting in a more enjoyable drive. Would highly recommend. Thanks Martin.
